Medaxes is the Belgian association of pharmaceutical companies that want to contribute to making healthcare accessible to all. Medaxes focuses on generic and biosimilar medicines, as well as on other off-patent medicines and self-care products. We carry out the added value of our sector towards our stakeholders, we make proposals towards government for sustainable economic climate and a stable regulatory framework, and we want our voice to be heard in the public debate on the health system of the future.

A unique opportunity
You already have experience in regulatory affairs and/or market access in a pharmaceutical company and you are looking for an opportunity to broaden your expertise on the one hand and to make a positive difference at sector level on the other hand. Then you've come to the right place as a specialist Regulatory affairs and Market access at Medaxes.
Your main assignment is two-fold:
- Assist members with their questions in the field of regulatory affairs and market access.
- Provide support in formulating policy proposals by preparing budget and impact analyses, extracting and analysing data from various databases.
In terms of assisting our members with their questions regarding regulatory affairs and market access:
- You are their first point of contact. You provide solutions allowing a smooth handling of the dossiers.
- You advise on the strategy to follow and give feedback on the quality and feasibility of their dossiers. This not only requires knowledge and expertise in the regulatory framework and procedures, but also a good understanding of the functioning of the various government agencies.
- You follow up on committees and working groups initiated by the competent government bodies, such FAMHP, CRM committee, pricing committee, ... This involves:
- Follow up on agenda items.
- Build knowledge regarding relevant topics.
- Develop proposals in the interest of our members.
Concerning support in formulating policy proposals
- You prepare policy proposals upon profound analysis of the feasibility of the proposals and the impact on current procedures and regulatory framework. To this end, you collect relevant data, both quantitative and qualitative.
- On the basis of your expertise of the current regulatory framework, you contribute to possible policy proposals that benefit the off-patent sector.
- You follow up on questions of members of parliament in the field of healthcare and medicines policy.
- You monitor the process of publication of new regulations.
Re. both main assignments you will keep our members informed through our internal communication channels.
Who you are
Above all, be yourself and we hope your profile suits the following description:
- You have an education/experience level at master's level (preferably in pharmaceutical sciences).
- You have a minimum of 3 years of experience in the field of market access and/or regulatory affairs.
- Your experience in project management is an asset and you embrace an agile way of working.
- You are a critical thinker with strong research and analytical skills, bringing structure and synthesis to complex problem settings.
- You combine excellent Excel modelling skills with creative Powerpoint storytelling.
- You are dynamic and a dedicated team player, driven to achieve only the best results.
- You get a lot of energy from achieving results but, on the other hand, can be sufficiently patient when results are only visible in the medium or long-term.
- You think attitude is important and you believe that, driven by values, you can make a difference.
- You are fluent in Dutch, French and English. Dutch and French are mandatory, since we mainly operate locally and our stakeholders are Dutch & French speaking.
